Kidney Activator is called qu shi, which can be translated as “to get rid of dampness.” Morus root bark is thought to help eliminate excess moisture. Hoelen was used historically by the Chinese to “drain dampness.” Alisma is said to help promote the flow of moisture and is used in traditional Chinese medicine to support the bladder and urinary tract. According to Chinese concepts, astragalus may help to clear retained water from the body.

Astragalus is native to China, Mongolia and North Korea and is known as huang qi or yellow leader. This root has been used for more than 2,000 years and is still considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Asian water plantain grows in still water with its leaves floating or partially submerged. This plant has been a TCM go-to for building bone strength for more than a thousand years.
